What is Esthetician?
Esthetics, the non-medical care of the skin, is a growing part of the health and beauty industry. Skin the largest organ of the human body requires ongoing care to keep it healthy and beautiful. An Esthetician is a professional with knowledge and skills in the art of performing esthetic services that enhance and beautify the skin.

What is the difference between a Cosmetologist and an Esthetician?
A cosmetologist is a trained mostly in hair care, some nails and some skin. An Esthetician is a highly skilled professional trained in the physiology and histology of the skin and its care.

How will I know whether this is a possible career for me?
In most cases, graduates of esthetic programs have been interested in taking care of their own skin and finding ways to help others, long before they take steps to begin training. They are good with their hands, and love people. They have the desire to nurture and help people feel better about themselves, which makes them feel better about themselves. Others may not know anything about esthetics and may not pay much attention to their own skin but are searching for a career that is more nurturing, pays well, has variety of movement and is physically less demanding than other careers.

What types of job opportunities are available for me as an Esthetician?
The demand for a well trained and qualified Esthetician definitely exceeds the supply at this time. What a great time to become a skin care specialist. You have the opportunity to work in a day spa, resort, become a skin care representative, make-up artist, esthetics instructor, beauty editor and with further training even in a medical setting.

How much will I earn as an Esthetician?
As in any profession, you work your way up the pay scale. A salary should be given in order to guarantee a steady income while building clientele. After you have established a clientele you will make a better income if you switch to commission. The commissions on services start usually at 40% and go up gradually as you gain experience. Also you will earn an additional commission on the retail products that you sell. The amount of income that you will make fluctuates with the seasons. Some estheticians start off as low as $20k per year and a good experienced esthetician makes $60k or more per year. Depending on the place where you work you may also have vacation, and health benefits available.

Do you help students find gainful employment?
We will assist you in finding employment, but there is not guarantee to finding a job or being hired. The student and their own professionalism will help them to gain employment.

Can I come by and tour the school and sit in on a class?
We have an open door policy, you are welcome at anytime to come in to take a tour and sit in on any class.

How long is the Esthetics Program?
At Ensynergy Southeastern School of Esthetics we follow the Georgia State Board of Cosmetology requirements of 1000 clock hours, and a minimum of 9 months.

What is the average class size?
We have an average of 15-20 students per class with a maximum of 20 students.

When do I get to work perform hands on (practical) verses theory?
We start you off during your first week of school with both theory and practical. Approximately after 250 hours of the esthetics course you can begin performing services on the clinic floor, working with actual clients under the supervision of an instructor at all times.

Do you teach reflexology, aromatherapy?
The Esthetic Program does have a basic overview of aromatherapy and reflexology, but you will need advance classes which specialize in aromatherapy and reflexology.

Do you teach body treatments?
Yes, we teach body treatments in our equipped professional clinic floor.

Do you have outside lecturers come in and speak?
Yes, we have lecturers come in and speak on many topics that will enhance your skin care knowledge.

What kind of payment plans do you offer?
It's best to speak to one of our administrators about financial aid program which may be available to you. They will be glad assist you with any further questions.
